Click here to see what you are missing! Just curious - does anyone still make the replacement gears for the Athearn Hustler? I don't recall it ever having any gears to replace. Rubber bands were used. I think Earnest or someone made a kit to replace the rubber band drive with gears for the RDC and maybe the Hustler.

I decided a couple weeks ago that my next project would be to repower and redetail an old Athearn Hustler diesel. So, let's get started! The new mechanism is now finished!
Thanks to Desertdweller for the suggestion of this thread. We effectively 'hijacked' the Track Cleaning thread on the HO board and [probably] need to walk down Memory Lane here. I'll start: Do you remember: Athearn Hi-F drive? How about flex track that had brass rails, fiber ties Did you have Atlas controllers 'daisy-chained' together?
